I began my tattoo career through a traditional apprenticeship under Carl Hallowell at Liberty Electric Tattoo in Fort Worth, Texas. During those years, I learned the history and traditions of American and Japanese tattooing, but the lessons that shaped me most had less to do with technique and more to do with character. Carl taught me the importance of ethics, professionalism, and treating every client with respect. Those values still guide the way I approach tattooing today.

For me, tattooing has never been just a job. It's a lifelong pursuit. I believe this craft demands commitment, humility, and a genuine respect for the traditions that came before us. Styles and trends will always evolve, but my approach has remained the same: create quality work, build lasting relationships with my clients, and never stop learning or improving as an artist.

After Liberty Electric closed, I followed Carl to Elm Street Tattoo in Dallas, where I had the opportunity to work alongside Carl Hallowell, Oliver Peck, Dean Williams, and many other highly respected tattooers. Working in that environment challenged me every day. It sharpened my skills, expanded my clientele, and reinforced the work ethic it takes to build a lasting career in tattooing. Over time, my focus naturally shifted toward large-scale custom work and appointment-based tattooing, allowing me to dedicate more time and attention to each client and every piece I create.

Today, I'm a partner at Heart in Hand Arlington alongside Oliver Peck, where I specialize in Traditional Japanese and American Traditional tattooing. Whether I'm creating a large-scale Japanese body suit, a classic American Traditional sleeve, or a custom piece with personal meaning, my goal is always the same: to create bold, timeless tattoos that honor the traditions of the craft while telling my clients' stories.

Outside of my family, tattooing remains my greatest passion. It has shaped my life, introduced me to lifelong friendships, and given me a craft that I'm still studying every single day. I often say I haven't done my best work yet—only my best work so far—and that's what keeps me coming back to the shop every day.
